![]() ![]() Laura moved to Australia in 2016 and has since set up a unique school strings program with ages 4-8 at Peter Moyes Anglican Community School. Laura spent the next 10 years writing an entire curriculum of beginner resources called Stringosaurus, which continues to evolve to this day. Laura’s work in schools in Wales along with the birth of her daughters, inspired her to look at teaching from a new perspective. Upon completing her studies, she set upon her career of teaching and performing. Laura Carr formally trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff Wales. Bowing basics will cover bow hold/balance along with the basic bowing arm actions, transformed into memorable stories, songs and games, all starring the lovable dinosaur character, Stringosaurus. ![]() The mind and body warm-ups will help children self-regulate, create an awareness of their body (better to do this from an early age) and give you practical exercises that are fun and playful to loosen up and remove tension. Underpinned with quality pedagogy and understanding our students’ needs, we will focus on mind and body warm-ups and bowing basics during this session.
